Second meeting in Italy

Third international exchange organized thanks to Erasmus+ project „We are all children of ancient Greeks and Romans”, gave us all unforgivable memories, new friendships and a lot of historic knowledge. It lasted from 15th to 22nd of November.

First day of our trip was occupied by journey. Before we met our hosts we had sightsaw Santa Maria degli Angeli, where one of our partner school is located. During a second day of our stay at Italy we had a pleasure of listening an unbelievable concert made by students from Instituto Comperensivo Assisi 3. Later, we’ve seen church of saint Francis at Assisi and Roman relics found under the city.

Friday was a day of fashion show. We began with splitting into pairs. Our task was to make a laurel wreath from paper. Then we had to do a dress for a Greek goddess or god. We had different ways to accomplish the task, but the effect was always interesting. After finishing outfits, hairdressing workshops organized by professional hairdressers. At the end of the day fashion show took place, where three dębinka students presented their creations.

At the fourth day of our trip, robotics workshops took place. International groups came across four stands, where they’ve seen short performance and exhibition of small robots. They’ve been learning how to use 3D pen and various applications used to program 3D.

The fourth day we had robotics workshops. International groups, in the same teams as yesterday visited four stations, on which they watched in order: a short play, showcase of small, autonomus robots; learned to use a 3D pen aswell as 3D coding programs.

When the workshops ended the polish representation devided into four groups, from which the first one went on a trip to The Sybilian mountains. Their destination was Norcia and the cities putskirts destroyed two years ago by an earthquake. Group number two wen to Perugi, the third group went to the countryside where grandparents of one of the hosts lived and after that for shopping. In that time group number four was taste testing traditional cuisines and for the third time visited st. Franks basilica.

On Sunday we went to see the beautiful waterfalls Marmore. Each one of us came back with beautiful photos and a gallon of water in our clothes and shoes. The same day we went to the roman therms and anthed in the hot springs of “Dei Papi”. Everyone enjoyed it despite sizable crowds of tourists.

On Monday the games and inventions exhibition took place. After presenting all of the stuff we had made there was an informal games tournament, during said we tested ideas for education and fun in action. Most of the propositions turned out to be great fun. In the evening there was an ending ceremony. What surprised us was a performance by a choir of parents, which with the help of a group of students gave a great show.

The last day we went to Rome. We weren’t in the centre, so we didn’t see the Coloseum and other popular atractions. We sightsaw the catacumbs of st. Kaliks where we, for the first time, encountered a polish tour guide. We admired the roman aqueduct network and to top it off we saw the Villa of Hadrian, where we saw remnants of and great model of the villa during its glory days. Around half past six after a hard and tearful goodbye we made our way to the airport. We had our dinner and bought the last gifts for our families. Our flight departured at quarter after nine, around half past eleven we landed in Berlin. At three in the morning we were back in our lovely school.

Summing up the trip was amazing. We would’ve loved to stay longer…
